The Tempe shop’s entire crew will sport these collectible tees for the grand opening. Want one for yourself? Tempe, consider this your official permission slip to abandon all self-control. Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is opening its first Tempe location Thursday, Nov. 19, on Mill Avenue near Arizona State University. And because a grand entrance deserves more than a ribbon-cutting, Jeni’s is celebrating with free ice cream, giveaways, and enough creamy temptation to make your willpower wave a tiny white flag.

From 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, November 19, Jeni’s is turning up the sweetness with:

  • Free ice cream all evening. Four glorious hours of complimentary frozen happiness.
  • Sweet swag. The first 50 people in line score Jeni’s merchandise.
  • A year of free ice cream. Five lucky guests will win 52 signature servings, one per week for an entire year. To enter, download the Jeni’s app, join Splendid Rewards, and scan the app during the celebration.

That’s 52 weeks of delicious decisions someone else is paying for.

Twenty Flavors. Zero Self-Control.

With at least 20 rotating flavors, Jeni’s is bringing some serious frozen firepower to Mill Avenue.

Fan favorites include Brambleberry Crisp, Gooey Butter Cake, and Double Dough, while the holiday lineup delivers White Chocolate Peppermint, Boozy Eggnog, and the brand-new Sticky Toffee Pudding.

The 1,318-square-foot shop at 740 S. Mill Ave., Suite D110, also features a 228-square-foot patio, giving ASU students, Tempe locals, and dessert devotees a new place to indulge. Or order up several pints and ship them to family and friends for the holidays.

“We’re thrilled to bring Jeni’s to Tempe and open our first shop in the city,” says Regis Duffy, vice president of shops at Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams. “Mill Avenue is such an exciting community, and we’re looking forward to becoming part of the neighborhood, creating a place where people can come together over great ice cream.”

The Cream of the Crop. Literally.

Let’s talk texture. Because not all ice cream deserves a standing ovation.

Jeni’s has built its reputation on a rich, silky, buttercream-like consistency that melts beautifully without leaving that unpleasant, waxy coating on the roof of your mouth. You know the one. The frozen equivalent of bad lip gloss. The secret? Ice cream made from scratch with whole ingredients and fresh milk sourced through regional dairy partnerships. No synthetic flavorings, artificial dyes, or premade mixes.

Through its Fellowship Model, Jeni’s works directly with growers, makers, and producers to prioritize ingredient quality and flavor integrity.

The result is a luscious, clean-finishing ice cream with bold flavors and a texture that makes ordinary freezer-aisle pints seem downright pedestrian.

Eat. It. Up.

The Tempe opening joins Jeni’s existing Valley locations in Old Town Scottsdale, Scottsdale Quarter, and San Tan Village in Gilbert. The new shop will be open daily from 11 a.m. to midnight, making it equally convenient for an afternoon sugar fix or a late-night dessert emergency.

Go ahead and lose your cool. Some things are worth a complete meltdown.
