Insider Info

RA Sushi’s first restaurant location opened in 1997 in Scottsdale. It has now grown to include 13 restaurant locations in Arizona, Texas, Florida and New York, and is part of parent company, The ONE Group.

RA Sushi has long been an established go-to spot for sushi, creative cocktails, a cool dance soundtrack and a sexy black-and-red design motif. Now, it has introduced an expanded menu designed to meet diners at the intersection of “I want sushi” and “I want more than sushi.”

Although diners at RA will always roll in for its signature sushi rolls, the expanded menu touches nearly every section, giving guests plenty of choices. The additions bring more variety at approachable price points.

A new weekday lunch menu boasts full meals from $16 to $21, $6 snack-size rolls, shareable appetizers and new entrees that make RA an easy option for everything from a quick lunch or takeout to happy hour and dinner.

Poke bowls and teriyaki bowls are new lunchtime options that pair easily with the $6 snack rolls, creating a simple way to mix and match favorites like salmon avocado and spicy tuna. Bento boxes have also returned, offering a full Japanese lunch at an affordable price.

The Bang Bang Shrimp, served in a crispy rice bowl, is a perfectly shareable appetizer, but it’s so good, diners may not want to share at all.

The smoked salmon and sushi nachos are another great choice for a group, offering an easy finger-food option without a lot of mess.

The A5 Japanese wagyu and pork potstickers are also an easy-to-share appetizer, featuring an elevated protein that brings a bit of unexpected flavor.

Generously sized hamburgers, fried chicken sandwiches, Lobster Inferno Rice, wagyu noodles and full steak dinners round out the menu, adding more variety and value for guests who want to create a unique and satisfying dining experience.

Specialty cocktails continue their run at RA, including the Moshi Mojito with lime, coconut, passion fruit and strawberry, and the famous, or perhaps infamous, Shiso Naughty with SKYY Pineapple Vodka and X-Rated Liqueur.

Happy hour at RA is also an easy way to test-drive menu items at a lower price. Happy hour runs all day Monday and Tuesday; 3 to 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close Wednesday through Saturday; and 3 p.m. to close Sunday.
