Football season is back, and Title 9 Sports Grill is giving Phoenix fans a new reason to have strong opinions about sleepers, waiver wires and whether their quarterback can really be trusted in the fourth quarter.
Title 9 Sports Grill, Phoenix’s first women-focused sports bar, is opening registration for the T9 Fantasy Football Challenge, a 20-team, point-per-reception league hosted through ESPN Fantasy Football. The live draft takes place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, at Title 9. Players do not need to attend the live draft to participate, but those who join the fun in person will receive a complimentary drink.
Entry is simple: Participants purchase a $25 Title 9 gift card, which puts the buy-in right back into future game-day meals, drinks and gatherings at the Melrose District bar. League members also receive 10% off on game days throughout the season.
“Fantasy football should feel fun, not intimidating,” says Audrey Corley, owner of Title 9 Sports Grill. “Come with a full draft strategy or just come ready to pick a team, have a drink and meet some people. The best part is having a reason to come back every week, cheer for your picks and enjoy the season with other fans.”
The league creates another way for Title 9 to build community around sports, especially for women who want more than a corner television with the sound off. At the bar, women’s athletics is always part of the lineup, and the T9 Fantasy Football Challenge brings that same welcoming, game-day energy to the NFL season.
