Mary Darnall has little patience for wellness theater.

Darnall says brands have offered thousands of dollars for a single social-media post, but she has turned down paid opportunities when she did not believe in the product. “People can tell when you are just selling something,” Darnall says. “If I would not use it, recommend it or stand behind it, then it is not worth attaching my name to it.”
Her work did not begin with a sponsorship or a trend cycle. It began with her own family.
After navigating chronic illness following mold exposure, Darnall began digging into nutrition, skin health and the ways internal and external stress can show up in the body. As a mother navigating autism with her children, she says she also learned how much families are asked to sort through while trying to make thoughtful choices.
“Our family has had to navigate a lot of questions,” Darnall says. “That experience taught me to look beyond a one-size-fits-all answer, to pay attention and to help people feel less alone when they are trying to figure things out.”
For more than a decade, Darnall has helped clients navigate complex wellness questions as a nutritional therapist and licensed esthetician. Bruce brings a background in medical science, nutrition and health-products manufacturing. Their shared belief that wellness products could be cleaner, clearer and less cluttered became Hempsolv.
