With later weekend hours, late-night food, a refreshed menu and an updated patio, Phoenix’s women-focused sports bar is giving fans more reasons to gather, cheer and stay awhile.

Summer in Phoenix comes with triple-digit nights, packed calendars and plenty of reasons to stay out late. At Title 9 Sports Grill in the Melrose District, it now also comes with later weekend hours, late-night food, a refreshed menu, an updated patio and more reasons to catch the game with the sound on.

Now led by Audrey Corley, Title 9 Sports Grill is entering its next chapter with a renewed focus on the fan experience, neighborhood energy and the women’s sports movement that inspired the bar from the beginning. Located at 4221 N. Seventh Ave., Title 9 opened as Phoenix’s first women-focused sports bar, created to give women’s athletics the screen time, space and celebration they have long deserved.

“Women’s sports are not niche anymore, and honestly, they never should have been treated that way,” says Audrey Corley, owner of Title 9 Sports Grill. “People want to watch these athletes. They want a place to gather. They want the games on, the sound up and the energy in the room.”

The timing is hard to miss. Global revenues for women’s elite sports are projected to reach at least $3 billion in 2026, up from $2.4 billion in 2025, according to Deloitte’s latest women’s sports revenue report. For Title 9, that growth is not abstract. It is showing up on the screens, in the seats, on the patio and in the demand for a local place where women’s sports are treated like the main event.

On Fridays and Saturdays, Title 9 will remain open later and serve late-night food, giving fans another option after games, events, concerts, date nights and nights out in Melrose. The updated menu keeps the sports-bar spirit while adding new reasons to come hungry, stay longer and make Title 9 part of the neighborhood routine.

“Sports culture has always been social,” Corley says. “You remember where you were when a team won, when an athlete broke a record, when the room went wild. We want Title 9 to be that place for women’s sports in Phoenix.”

The next era of Title 9 includes:

  • Late-Night Fridays and Saturdays: Title 9 will stay open later on weekends and serve late-night food, giving fans a place to keep the night going after the final buzzer, a full evening in Melrose or one more round with friends.
  • Updated Menu: The refreshed menu keeps the sports-bar spirit while giving guests new reasons to come hungry, stay longer and make Title 9 part of their game-day, weekend and neighborhood routine.
  • Redone Patio: The updated patio adds more space for gathering, eating, drinking and catching the Melrose energy outdoors, creating a more comfortable extension of the bar as Phoenix heads into its busy summer nights.
  • Melrose First Fridays: Title 9 will continue taking part in Melrose First Fridays, joining neighboring businesses in bringing more foot traffic, visibility and local connection to one of Phoenix’s most important LGBTQ+ and small-business corridors.
  • Women’s Sports Front and Center: From basketball and soccer to tennis, softball, rugby, volleyball and more, Title 9 continues to center women’s athletics in a city where fans are showing up for the game, the athletes and the movement behind both.

The bar sits just steps from Boycott Bar, Corley’s longtime LGBTQ+ nightlife staple, helping anchor a growing pocket of Melrose where queer-owned, women-centered and community-driven businesses are not only surviving, but shaping the neighborhood’s culture.

“Melrose has always had heart,” Corley says. “Title 9 is part of that. Boycott is part of that. First Fridays are part of that. These spaces matter because they give people somewhere to belong, whether they are here to watch a game, meet friends, bring their kids, celebrate Pride or just feel like they are part of something bigger.”

For Corley, the ownership transition is less about a dramatic reset and more about recommitting to the original mission: showing women’s sports with intention and building a bar where the experience matches the importance of the moment.

“Title 9 was built because women’s sports deserved more than a corner TV with no sound,” Corley says. “This next chapter is about listening to our guests, improving the experience and continuing to grow with the movement. Women’s sports are getting bigger. So are we.”
