Insider Info

Sedona Center sits in Uptown Sedona — the town’s original heartbeat where early settlers built the first shops and gathering spots. Today it still anchors the action, perched near the famous crossroads of State Route 89A and 179 and surrounded by one of the most walkable stretches in town, where boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and those postcard-worthy red rock views are all just a short wander away.

Sedona doesn’t exactly struggle in the scenery department, but a new Uptown event space is making a strong case for the best seat in town. The Venue at Sedona Center has quietly opened inside the busy Sedona Center plaza, offering a surprisingly tucked-away setting with sweeping red rock views and just enough room for celebrations that keep things intimate.

Blink and you might miss it. The venue sits slightly removed from the plaza’s shops and restaurants, which gives the space a calm, almost secret feel despite being right in the middle of Uptown.

Inside, the 2,200-square-foot space keeps things intentionally small. The room comfortably hosts up to 50 seated guests or about 100 standing, making it well suited for elopements, micro-weddings, corporate meetups, and family gatherings that don’t need a ballroom to make an impression.

“We’re so excited to offer this hidden gem to those looking to create the Southwest wedding of their dreams,” says event coordinator Whitney Penfold. “We’ve purposefully created an affordable and customizable space that gives everyone an option to experience the magic of Sedona.”

The setup leans practical. A dedicated Get Ready room gives couples or hosts a place to regroup before the main event, while rentable pieces like arches, chairs, draping, and florals make the space easy to transform. Preferred vendors are also on standby for photography, music, officiants, and other essentials.

Dinner service doesn’t happen inside the venue, but that’s hardly a problem here. Four family-run restaurants sit within walking distance inside Sedona Center, which means guests can slide straight from ceremony to dinner without much effort.

Penfold says the venue’s smaller footprint is exactly the point.

“Whether you’re local to Arizona or organizing a destination event, we want the planning to be effortless,” she says. “If you’re considering Sedona for your celebration, this is your place.”

Location does a lot of the heavy lifting. The Venue sits at 300 N. State Route 89A, placing guests steps from Uptown’s boutiques, restaurants, and those famously photogenic roadside views. Parking is nearby, and the Sedona Trolley boards from the same property, making group logistics refreshingly simple.

For couples chasing that classic red-rock ceremony backdrop or planners looking for a polished but low-key gathering space, The Venue at Sedona Center is one of those rare finds in Uptown: small, scenic, and just a little bit under the radar.
