Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery will host an American Red Cross blood drive on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 7900 E. Main St. in Mesa, inviting the community to roll up a sleeve and help save lives.
Held aboard the Red Cross Bloodmobile, the one-day drive supports patients who depend on blood donations during some of life’s most urgent moments, including trauma care, surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illness, accident recovery and burn treatment. Donated blood remains a critical resource that cannot be manufactured, only given.
According to the American Red Cross, someone in the U.S. needs blood every two seconds, yet only about 3% of age-eligible people donate blood each year. For Mountain View, the drive reflects a broader mission of service that extends beyond funeral and cemetery care.
“For us, service has always meant more than caring for families after a loss. It means showing up for the community whenever there is a need,” says Elisa Krcilek, vice president of Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery. “Hosting a blood drive is a meaningful way to help neighbors become heroes for patients and families they may never meet, but whose lives may depend on that generosity.”

- Streamlined event details: The blood drive will take place Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. aboard the American Red Cross Bloodmobile at Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery, 7900 E. - A simple way to help. For many donors, the full process takes about an hour from arrival to departure, while the actual donation usually takes about eight to 10 minutes.
