Insider Info

The Valley rollout is not stopping in North Scottsdale. Mendocino Farms also plans to open a third local restaurant in Arcadia near 44th Street and Indian School Road, putting the brand in another dining pocket already stacked with familiar names like Doughbird, Hash Kitchen, and CAVA.

Scottsdale’s lunch scene is getting another glow-up, and this one comes with krispies.

Mendocino Farms, the California-born fast-casual favorite known for chef-driven sandwiches, bright salads, housemade drinks, and its signature “Eat Happy” energy, is opening its second Arizona location at The Promenade Scottsdale. The North Scottsdale restaurant officially opens Tuesday, June 2 at 10:30 a.m. at 16203 N. Scottsdale Rd., Ste. 100, according to the brand.

The opening follows Mendocino Farms’ first Valley location at Gainey Ranch, which brought the brand’s sandwich-and-salad cult following into Arizona earlier this year. Now, the momentum is moving north, with The Promenade Scottsdale joining the lineup as a new neighborhood stop for weekday lunches, casual dinners, family meals, office catering, and the kind of “I deserve something better than leftovers” moment Arizona knows well.

The Promenade Scottsdale location is designed as a bright, welcoming gathering place where the food feels fast, but not phoned in. The menu leans into seasonal ingredients, chef-crafted combinations, and the brand’s polished hospitality, with sandwiches and salads that know exactly how to make lunch feel less like a calendar obligation.

The big-ticket bite is the “Not So Fried” Chicken Sandwich, a Mendo favorite made with shaved roasted chicken, signature Mendo’s krispies, mustard pickle slaw, tomatoes, pickled red onions, and herb aioli on toasted ciabatta. Guests can pair it with golden BBQ sauce or mustard remoulade, because even the condiments have range.

Also on the menu: The Farm Club, an elevated turkey club with applewood smoked bacon and avocado, and the Avocado & Quinoa Superfood Ensalada, a fresh, grain-packed salad that brings crunch, color, and just enough virtue to make everyone feel impressive at lunch.

The drink lineup keeps the mood bright with housemade options including Guava Lemonade, Get Your Greens juice, Pomegranate Mint Lemonade, Classic Lemonade, and Passion Fruit Black Tea. Catering is also part of the play, with customizable options built for office lunches, celebrations, and group gatherings. Mendocino Farms’ Arizona page also notes dine-in, takeout, delivery, and catering service for its Scottsdale locations.

Opening day comes with a perk. Guests who sign up for a My Mendo account and select Scottsdale-North Scottsdale as their favorite location can receive a free entrée with any purchase, with the reward added to accounts on grand opening day and valid for two weeks.

“We are thrilled with the enthusiasm and great feedback we’ve received from the Scottsdale community since entering the Valley with our first store at Gainey Ranch,” says Alicia Mowder, Chief Marketing Officer of Mendocino Farms.

The community angle is baked into the launch, too. During its first three months, the restaurant will offer 50% back on all in-store fundraiser events for local schools and organizations. Families also get an easy win with a kid-friendly atmosphere and a dedicated kids’ menu featuring approachable picks like Crispy Chicken Tenders and a Grilled Turkey & Cheddar Sandwich.

Mendocino Farms will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
