At Ling & Louie’s Asian Bar and Grill, dinner has always been about more than what’s on the plate. On Thursday, April 30, that idea takes on a deeper meaning as the restaurant hosts its Treasury Wine Estates Dinner, an exclusive five-course wine experience benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association Arizona Chapter.
More than 151,000 Arizonans are currently living with Alzheimer’s disease, a number that continues to rise. This one-night event brings that reality into focus, inviting guests to step into a thoughtfully curated culinary experience that not only delights, but also supports critical research, care, and local programs for those impacted by the disease.
In partnership with Treasury Wine Estates, the evening will feature a curated lineup of premium wines from celebrated labels including Etude, DAOU, Stag’s Leap Winery, Frank Family Vineyards, and Penfolds, each thoughtfully paired with Ling & Louie’s signature modern Asian cuisine.
“We know how powerful it is when people come together over a meal, and it means even more when it’s for something bigger than ourselves,” said John Banquil, owner of Ling & Louie’s. “If we can create a great experience for our guests and also help support families facing a life-changing Alzheimer’s diagnosis, then that’s what it’s all about.”
The Alzheimer’s Association Desert Arizona Chapter provides vital resources for individuals and families navigating Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, while also funding research efforts aimed at advancing treatment and ultimately finding a cure. Proceeds from this special event will directly benefit the organization’s efforts across Arizona.
Guests attending the April 30 event can expect a thoughtfully paced, immersive dining experience beginning at 6:30 p.m., where each course is designed to complement and elevate the wines it accompanies.
Evening highlights include:
- Dining Experience: A one-of-a-kind, five-course, chef-driven menu showcasing Ling & Louie’s modern Asian cuisine.

Menu pairings balance bold flavors with refined technique, beginning with Thai curry mussels in green curry-coconut sauce paired with Etude Pinot Gris from Carneros, followed by sweet and spicy scallops with pineapple salsa alongside Stag’s Leap Winery Viognier from Napa Valley. The evening continues with roasted pork tenderloin with mushroom gravy paired with Frank Family Vineyards Zinfandel from Napa Valley and shaking beef with citrus soy paired with DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso Robles, before concluding with a banana caramel spring roll served with Penfolds “Grandfather” Rare Tawny Port from Australia.
“This fundraising event is part of the Alzheimer’s Association’s Do What You Love to End ALZ campaign, which empowers individuals and organizations to turn their passions into purpose in the fight against Alzheimer’s,” said Terri Spitz, Executive Director for the Alzheimer’s Association Arizona Chapter. “These events help to raise critical funds that help the Association in accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.”
