Summer may be winding down, but Horse & Hyde Uptown is giving it one more smoky, music-filled sendoff before fall routines settle in.

The Uptown Phoenix restaurant will host its Back-to-School BBQ from 4 p.m. to close on Saturday, Aug. 22, at 100 E. Camelback Road, Suite 150. The gathering brings together barbecue, cold drinks and live music for a relaxed neighborhood hang built for lingering over dinner and catching up with friends.

“This time of year always feels like a reset,” says co-owner Scott Hibler. “Schedules start filling up again, summer starts moving faster and everyone is trying to squeeze in a few more good evenings. We wanted to create one of those evenings here.”

Guests can settle in with Horse & Hyde’s barbecue-driven menu, order something cold and enjoy a live performance from Jameson Houston from 4 to 7 p.m. The event is designed to work just as well for an early dinner as it does for drinks with friends, giving guests an easy reason to stay through the final song.
