Arizona didn’t just show generosity. It sustained it.
The 2026 Arizona Gives Day on April 7 generated more than $3.7 million for 729 nonprofits across the state, reinforcing the strength of a community that continues to show up for causes that matter. Led by AZ Impact for Good, the annual event remains one of Arizona’s most powerful collective giving efforts.
Zoom out, and the impact deepens. Since launching in 2013, Arizona Gives Day has raised almost $55 million for nonprofits statewide. That kind of long-term momentum is no small feat, especially as organizations navigate rising needs and shifting economic conditions.
This year’s total was driven by 16,392 individual donations, a clear sign that grassroots giving still fuels big results. And the support didn’t stop at dollars. During the event, 191 volunteers pledged a combined 4,216 hours to nonprofits across Arizona, adding time and talent to the mix.
“This is an important boost for Arizona nonprofits and a sign of the generosity of Arizona residents during uneven economic times,” says Michael Morefield, Director of Marketing and Communications for AZ Impact for Good. “Despite declines in charitable giving nationwide, this year’s event will have real impact for Arizona residents.”
While the total came in below 2025’s $4.3 million, the consistency matters. In a climate where charitable giving has trended downward nationally, Arizona’s steady participation signals a deep-rooted commitment to community support.
Arizona Gives Day also extends beyond a single day. The AZGives.org platform allows residents to donate year-round, discover nonprofits, and connect with volunteer opportunities. It also helps donors identify organizations that qualify for Arizona’s charitable tax credit programs, offering a meaningful way to give while receiving a financial benefit.
Behind it all is AZ Impact for Good, a statewide organization serving more than 1,000 nonprofits and philanthropy-focused groups. Through advocacy, education, and innovation, the organization continues to strengthen Arizona’s nonprofit ecosystem and expand its reach.
In a moment when many communities are being asked to do more with less, Arizona’s response is clear. Keep giving. Keep showing up. Keep building something bigger together.
