Insider Info

The secret to a great visit to Layla's Bunnyville is simple. Stay calm. Move gently. Pet and brush with care. Treats help, too. When the bunnies feel safe and respected, the experience becomes something rare—a soft reset from the rush of everyday life.

At Layla’s Bunnyville, joy doesn’t rush in. It tiptoes on four fluffy feet. This pop-up bunny experience turns ordinary days into calm, smile-heavy pauses, inviting guests to slow down, unplug, and spend quality time with some seriously charming bunnies.

Here’s how it works: Layla’s Bunnyville pops up at La Jolla Acai Bowls on select bunny event days, so checking the schedule is step one. Guests can book a 20-minute reservation in advance for $20 per person, which guarantees a spot and offers extra time with more bunnies to cuddle, observe, and adore. Feeling spontaneous? Walk-ins are welcome via an on-site waitlist for 10-minute sessions at $10 per person, though a short wait may apply. Either way, arrive ready for cuddles, giggles, and a healthy dose of fluffy joy.

Layla’s Bunnyville didn’t just happen. It hopped into existence with heart. Founder Layla Sandoval grew up riding horses English-style for eight years, but after stepping away from the saddle, a gentler obsession took over. Bunny TikToks turned into real-life curiosity, which led to animal encounters across the country and abroad, and eventually to a long-awaited yes to pet bunnies at home.

When a patio space opened up at her family’s building near McClintock and Warner in Tempe, everything clicked. Why not create a place where people could breathe, slow down, and connect with animals? Layla’s Bunnyville was born, offering guests of all ages a hands-on experience rooted in calm, care, and intention.

“Our purpose is to provide a fun, calming, and relaxing bunny petting experience,” Sandoval says. Inside the space, that mission is immediately felt. Guests are gently guided to move slowly, stay present, and let the bunnies set the pace. The reward is simple and powerful: unfiltered, stress-melting joy.

Each bunny brings their own personality, but Willow is the undeniable scene-stealer. She loves attention…until she doesn’t. When she’s done, she stomps her foot and scoots away with confidence. When she’s in a playful mood, she rolls her toy back and forth with guests, sparking laughter and plenty of repeat visits.

And repeat visits are common. Many guests finish a session, hop right back on the waitlist, and come back again, sometimes multiple times in one day. It’s that kind of place: calming, charming, and quietly addictive.

Layla’s Bunnyville also hosts special events, including private celebrations, themed bunny days, and pop-up experiences that add a little extra magic to the calendar. Whether it’s a birthday, a group outing, or a seasonal surprise, the goal stays the same: connection, calm, and a lot of smiles.
