Chandler is getting the kind of grocery store that makes a quick stop nearly impossible.
Seafood City Supermarket opens its first Arizona location at Chandler Fashion Center on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 9 a.m., bringing nearly 66,000 square feet of Asian groceries, live seafood, hot food and community space to the East Valley.
Founded in California in 1989, Seafood City has grown into North America’s largest Filipino supermarket, with locations across the United States and Canada. Its Arizona debut brings that grocery-meets-food-hall formula to Chandler, with enough variety to turn one errand into lunch, dinner and possibly dessert twice.
The shelves will be stocked with Filipino, Asian and international staples, including specialty sauces, imported snacks, frozen favorites and harder-to-find ingredients from the Philippines, Japan, Korea, China, Thailand, Vietnam and beyond.
There will also be tropical fruit, Asian vegetables, fresh herbs and a full meat department. In other words, this is where a recipe idea can spiral into an entirely new weekly routine.
The seafood department is the real showstopper. Shoppers can expect live lobster, crab, oysters, shrimp and whole fish, including seafood flown in from Hawaii and sourced from fishing regions around the world. Cleaning and gutting are complimentary, and customers can have their fish fried in-store at no extra charge.
That is not a grocery perk. That is a dinner plan.
The store’s 10,947-square-foot Food Hall is expected to be another major draw. Billed as Arizona’s largest Filipino Asian food hall, it will seat more than 300 guests and bring seven concepts together under one roof.
Grill City handles Filipino barbecue, baked salmon and crispy pork belly. Slurp Alley brings hot pots, noodle soups, dim sum and slow-simmered broths. Sizzle serves dishes on cast-iron plates over java rice, including beef bone marrow, rib-eye steak and sisig.
Crispy Town goes all in on crunch with lechon, chicken skin, chicharon, fried crablets and bagnet. Bakers Avenue covers the carb situation with hot pandesal, ube pastries, crinkles, cheese rolls, ensaymada and cakes.
Then comes Yelo Yelo, serving tropical coolers, shakes, soft serve and halo-halo layered with fruit, sweet beans, leche flan, jellies and ube ice cream. Kakanin Korner rounds out the dessert lineup with Filipino rice cakes including bibingka, puto and sapin-sapin.
The Chandler location will also include the Seafood City Social Hall, an event venue with karaoke, large-screen displays, surround sound and Food Hall catering. It is built for birthdays, reunions, corporate gatherings, cultural events and the kind of family celebrations that require both a microphone and a serious buffet.

For Chandler, Seafood City is shaping up to be much more than a new supermarket. It is part market, part dining destination and part cultural gathering place, with a very strong argument for staying through dessert.
