Insider Info

Arizona Gives Day’s impact continues to grow. Over the past decade, the initiative has generated more than $51 million for Arizona nonprofits, including $4.3 million raised in 2025. Last year, more than 19,700 donations supported over 750 nonprofits, and volunteers pledged nearly 3,400 hours of service.

Arizona Gives Day returns April 7 with a major upgrade that turns a single day of generosity into a year-round engine for good across the state.

Powered by AZ Impact for Good, this year’s Arizona Gives Day introduces an enhanced AZGives.org platform that nonprofits can use not just for the April 7 event, but through the end of 2026. Once registered, organizations gain long-term access to fundraising, engagement, and donor development tools designed to support sustained impact.

The timing is critical. Arizona nonprofits are navigating rising demand for food assistance, housing stability, healthcare access, and family support services as cost-of-living pressures continue to affect households statewide. At the same time, many organizations are facing tighter budgets and increased competition for funding. Arizona Gives Day and its expanded platform are designed to help nonprofits meet those challenges by making charitable giving more accessible and effective.

The upgraded AZGives.org allows nonprofits to run peer-to-peer campaigns, promote fundraisers, host events, and accept donations throughout the year. Organizations can also embed mobile-friendly donation pages directly into their own websites, offering a simple solution for groups that need a reliable online giving system or want a stronger primary donation portal.

Donors will see meaningful improvements as well. A new “Browse” feature makes it easier to discover nonprofits by mission, county, population served, and Arizona tax credit eligibility. The platform also introduces an “Opportunities” section where nonprofits can share events and volunteer needs, creating more ways for supporters to get involved beyond financial contributions.

Matching-gift tools have been enhanced, allowing nonprofits to notify supporters when match goals are reached and celebrate milestones as they happen. During Giving Tuesday alone last November, nonprofits using the platform raised more than $139,000.

Nonprofit registration is open now through April 5, with early registrants able to begin fundraising immediately. Approval is fast, allowing organizations to start accepting donations right away.

Donors do not have to wait until April 7. Giving is open now, with an early giving window beginning March 17. Donations made through AZGives.org are tax-deductible and, in many cases, eligible for Arizona Charitable, Foster Care, or Public School tax credits.

“With many nonprofits facing uncertainty due to economic and funding challenges, this expanded Arizona Gives platform gives organizations the tools they need to engage supporters year-round,” says Michael Morefield, Director of Marketing and Communications for AZ Impact for Good. “Arizona Gives Day is still a powerful moment, but now it is also a long-term solution for nonprofits to tell their stories, grow their donor base, and strengthen their impact across Arizona.”
